Rapid Extraction – The Heart of JetX™
Patented JetX™ technology quickly, yet gently extracts APIs from tablets, capsules, and other dosage forms by subjecting them to a continuous jet of media inside a cell. Flow rates up to 1'000 mL/min encourage rapid disintegration or focused erosion of the dosage form, followed by robust mixing in the vortex of a media reservoir. From there, media is pumped back in circulation to the cell until extraction has been completed.
Unattended Operation with JetMags™
By performing extraction on five (5) samples simultaneously, the JetX™ MultiFlow significantly reduces time-to-result and achieves throughput rates that would otherwise require multiple analysts for manual sample preparation. JetMags™ allow processing of 30 samples in one unattended, continuously automated sequence – from filling of media reservoirs to extraction, dilution and self-cleaning.
Homogeneous Stock Solution with Media Reservoirs.
Media reservoirs with flow-through, rinse down technology are automatically filled with required media volumes including gravimetric confirmation. During extraction, the stock solution is continuously mixed with integrated magnetic stirrers to ensure homogeneity.
Sampling and Fine Filtration for U/HPLC Analysis.
Once extraction is completed, samples of stock solution are automatically taken from all media reservoirs simultaneously. Powerful piston pumps allow for fine filtration down to 0.2 microns using standard syringe filters. The filtered samples are then collected in capped LC vials for further processing.
Precise Dilution and Seamless Transfer to U/HPLC.
Using a high-precision micro dosing pump, the integrated single needle sequentially transfers the required volume of stock solution to a standard LC vial and precisely adds dilution media – achieving up to 1:100 dilution ratios. Diluted samples can be seamlessly transferred to the autosampler of your U/HPLC in a standard vial plate.
Validated Cleaning – Every Time.
JetX™ ensures reproducible cleaning after each sample preparation, effectively reducing concerns of carry-over or contamination. All fluidic paths are automatically cleaned after each extraction for consistent, validated cleaning every time – eliminating worries about cross-contamination.
AutoDI™ – Who did what? When? And Where?
While detailed documentation has remained an almost impossible task in traditional volumetric flask-based sample preparation, JetX™ excels with built-in data integrity.
