Our origins - Reinhard Benz Feinmechanik.

The history of SOTAX dates back to 1948 when it was founded by Reinhard Benz as a one-man company in his father's workshop. Initially, the company offered precision mechanical contract work, but in the 1950s it also began producing a variety of in-house products such as mirror stereoscopes, transfer printers, mechanically moved advertising objects, and tear testers for yarns.
